A Revolution in Technology
Glendale Adventist Medical Center is proud to offer some of the most advanced imaging technology in the region, including the most modern equipment available for:
- MRI
- CT Scans
- Nuclear imaging
CT Scans
CT scanners are marvelous machines, allowing physicians to peer into the inner workings of the human body without making a single cut. However, patients were often uncomfortable in older-style CT scanners because of the time it took to produce the scan, the requirement to hold their breath during certain procedures, and other inconveniences.
Revolutionary new scanners--such as the GE LightSpeed 16, the CT scanner at Glendale Adventist Medical Center - eliminate many of the problems of older style scanners. Consider these advantages:
- Faster scans - Many scans take only 30 seconds to complete
- Faster diagnosis - Emergency and critical care patients get the fastest possible diagnosis
- More comfort - Patients no longer have to hold their breath for long periods of time during the scan
- More precision - The CT scan yields a finely detailed, continuous image
- Early detection - Ability to detect the early warning signs of heart disease, lung cancer and other diseases.
Nuclear Imaging
The Outpatient Cardiac Imaging Center, equipped with the latest in nuclear cardiology technology and computer-aided tomography (CAT) scanning capability, can provide patients with accurate assessments of their risk for heart disease with simple, non-invasive tests.
